Formed in 1994, Republica is an English alternative rock outfit that reached the heights of fame between '96 and '99. After a brief hiatus in 2001, the band reunited in 2008 and is now best remembered for the smash hit "Ready to Go" from their eponymous debut album.
Speed Ballads, Republica's second release, made a splash in 1998 achieving No. 37 in the UK Albums Chart & No. 20 in with its single release, "From Rush Hour With Love". Though tragically short-lived, the band's success was ended when Deconstruction Records ceased operation shortly after the Speed Ballads launch.
Speed Ballads is available on vinyl for the first time as a 25th anniversary edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on crystal clear vinyl and includes an insert with lyrics.
