Hot Chip, a Grammy Award and Mercury Prize-nominated British synthpop group, produced Ibibio Sound Machine's fourth and most progressive album, Electricity. The collaboration was sparked by mutual admiration and a shared love of Francis Bebey and Giorgio Moroder, which led to a supercharged, Afrofuturist blinder. This is the first album Ibibio Sound Machine has made with external producers since their formation in London in 2013 by vocalist Eno Williams and saxophonist Max Grunhard. The album includes influences from Jonzun Crew, Grace Jones, William Onyeabor, Tom Tom Club, Kae Tempest, Keith LeBlanc, The J.B.'s, Jon Hassell's "Fourth World," and Bootsy Collins, resulting in a kaleidoscope of musical delights.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.

Hold up… what were we saying?
