The female-led trio, Goat Girl, unleashes their third record Below The Waste on Rough Trade Records. Co-produced by the band and John Spud Murphy (known for his work with Lankum and black midi), this release is a masterful blend of raw energy and heartfelt emotion.
The instrumentation for this album was meticulously crafted and recorded over a period of time, incorporating elements from different locations and musicians. The majority of the tracks were produced at Ireland's Hellfire Studios, with additional contributions from Damon Albans and other talented musicians. From a barn in Essex to their own studio in South London, Goat Girl brought together a diverse range of family and friends to add strings, woodwind, and vocals to their musical collage.
