Metallica - 72 Seasons - Vinyl Record

Metallica has returned with their highly-anticipated twelfth studio album, "72 Seasons," released through their own Blackened Recordings. The album features 12 tracks and has a runtime of over 77 minutes, produced by Greg Fidelman alongside James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich. "72 Seasons" is the band's first full-length album of new material since 2016's "Hardwired...To Self-Destruct." The album's title is based on the concept of the first 18 years of life shaping one's true or false selves, and how these core beliefs continue to affect one's perception of the world as an adult. James Hetfield explained, "Much of our adult experience is reenactment or reaction to these childhood experiences. Prisoners of childhood or breaking free of those bondages we carry." The album's first single, "Lux Æterna," is a three and a half minute blast that distills 40 years of Metallica into a concise track. "72 Seasons" marks the latest offering from one of heavy metal's most enduring and iconic bands.
