Prior to the release of their lauded 2010 album, Pyramid of the SunMaserati collected their rare and out-of-print vinyl tracks from the previous couple years into a compilation for CD and digital release. Featuring all four tracks from their blink-and-it's-gone limited-edition split LP with Zombi, as well as their remix LP (featuring The DFA's Tim Goldsworthy and !!!'s Justin Van Der Volgen), Passages was augmented with two previously unreleased tracks, the Moog-fueled meditative trance of Steve Moore's "Monoliths" remix, and the sublime outtake, "Do You Hear The Nightbirds Calling You?" The Passages collection was remastered from the original master tapes, and packaged with eye-popping new artwork. To celebrate Maserati's 20th anniversary, Temporary Residence finally makes Passages available on vinyl for the first time ever. Packaged in an updated design that maintains the spirit of the original, the vinyl was cut by Amy Dragon at Telegraph Mastering, and the records were pressed at RTI.
