This new pressing comes on jade blue vinyl, limited to 1,000 copies.

Goat perform in masks and claim roots in the remote Swedish village of Korpilombolo, but the music says more than any origin story. Building on the acclaimed World Music, Commune fuses heavy psychedelic rock with Afrobeat grooves, krautrock repetition and Anatolian funk into one hypnotic, ritualistic whole. Opener “Talk to God” sets the tone with a layered percussive groove, and from there the album rolls through acidic riffs, chanted incantations and serpentine guitar lines all the way to the closing “Gathering of Ancient Tribes.”

A high point of the 2010s psych revival and a record that rewards playing loud.
