Parlophone Records is thrilled to present DAVID BOWIE, A DIVINE SYMMETRY - the vinyl companion to the 4CD/1 Blu-Ray box set, set to release in November 2022. This 1LP is a unique blend of early mixes from the HUNKY DORY tracks, originally found on the BOWPROMO album in 1971, combined with new alternative Ken Scott mixes to form an alternate version of the Hunky Dory album. The LP also features the session outtake 'Bombers'.
In 1971, Bowie experienced a transformative year. He signed a record deal with RCA and connected with iconic artists such as Andy Warhol, Lou Reed, and Iggy Pop while in New York. He became a father and proudly wrote the song 'KOOKS' to celebrate his newfound paternal role. That same year, he performed live for the first time in June with Mick Ronson, Woody Woodmansey, and Trevor Bolder - later known as the Spiders From Mars - and recorded the legendary album, HUNKY DORY.
