This delightful collaborative EP, created by friends Jake and Karly under their playful pseudonyms MJ Lenderman & Wednesday, was titled Guttering. Fast forward to 2025, and MJ Lenderman and Wednesday have become shining stars in indie rock! Wednesday had an impressive breakout year in 2023 with their fantastic debut on Dead Oceans, ‘Rat Saw God,’ which made it onto many year-end lists. Meanwhile, in 2024, MJ Lenderman's album ‘Manning Fireworks’ on Anti launched him into the spotlight of indie fame. Following its release, a whirlwind of sold-out shows and numerous year-end awards followed. As both bands have gained dedicated fans over the past four years, this early collaborative EP is a heartwarming reminder of how far they've come and a lovely showcase of the magic they shared in those early days, long before the world was watching.
