Stealers Wheel war eine erfolgreiche schottische Folk-Rock-Band, die 1973 mit "Stuck in the Middle with You" einen Riesenhit landete. Eine der Hauptfiguren der Band war Gerry Rafferty, bekannt für seine Solohits "Baker Street", "Right Down the Line" und "Night Owl". Die Schulfreunde Joe Egan und Gerry Rafferty gründeten 1972 die Band Stealers Wheel . Die Band existierte nur 3 Jahre, aber sie nahmen 3 Alben auf und mehrere Songs wurden in die Charts aufgenommen. Nach ihrer Trennung 1975 setzte Gerry Rafferty seine Solokarriere fort und nahm mehrere Hits wie "Baker Street" und "Days Gone Down" auf. Sein erfolgreichstes Album „City to City“ erreichte Platz 1 in den USA und Platz 6 in Großbritannien. Diese Collected 2LP besteht aus einer Seite mit Stealers Wheel- Klassikern und drei Seiten mit Rafferty-Songs aus den 70er und 80er Jahren.
